We are going on an initiatory journey. It is a journey first undertaken by our ancestors, 60,000 years ago. Our destination is Les Eyzie de Tayac in Dordogne, France. Les Eyzie is situated on Vezere River, also known as The River at the End of The World.
There are some 150 significant archeological sites on this land, including the painted caves of Lascaux, Font de Gaume and Commarque. The paintings and carvings depict the animal spirits and helping allies of the land, rendered with precision and sophistication. They are likely the work of the shamans going back approximately 20,000 to 35,000 years. This art is alive still.
We will visit sacred springs, forests, shelters, the river and other power places to experience the mystery and healing of the land. There will be talking circles, fire ceremonies, stories, songs, and journeywork to help us gather knowledge, healing and integration.
In 2020, we are honored to offer this 8-day transformational experience to a small group.
